Integration Platform

A stable integration platform as the foundation

Hogia PubTrans® is the platform that forms the foundation of our solutions. In combination with our other systems, we can tailor a solution to suit every unique need and operation.

Accurate and complete snapshot

With Hogia PubTrans®, all stakeholders share a unified view of the traffic—before, during, and after the journey. The platform is designed to collect and manage large volumes of public transport data from multiple sources. By receiving, validating, and combining these datasets, Hogia PubTrans® creates an accurate and complete picture of the traffic situation.

Planned traffic

Planned operations form the backbone of public transportation, and the system handles this data with a high level of detail. Hogia’s platform supplies apps, websites, and displays with all the necessary information to plan journeys and support passengers along the way. Planning data is easily imported via a modern web interface, where content is checked against previous imports to ensure accuracy and consistency. This keeps all data within Hogia PubTrans® logically structured and coherent.

Real-time data

With continuously connected vehicles, Hogia PubTrans® provides ongoing real-time updates on traffic conditions. Positions, arrivals, departures, and onboard passenger counts are examples of the data collected. This information is combined with planned traffic, dispatcher actions, and current service messages to create a complete real-time situational overview. This ensures that passengers always receive accurate and up-to-date information.

Forecasts

Hogia PubTrans® uses an advanced algorithm to calculate when vehicles will arrive at and depart from stops. By considering multiple factors and continuously updated statistics, the system achieves high reliability. With dependable forecasts, passengers get the best possible support for their journeys.

Historical data

All data handled in Hogia PubTrans® can be stored and accessed retrospectively. This means that all information required for detailed analysis of completed operations is available in a structured and well-defined format. Hogia offers several standardized reports and dashboards, and it is also easy to connect your own BI tool if desired.

Advanced data warehouse for vehicle and infrastructure data

Hogia Public Transport Events is an advanced data warehouse that improves efficiency, accessibility, and sustainability in public transportation. The solution enables stakeholders to gain a more complete overall view of system operations by collecting and processing data from multiple sources. This includes both vehicle-related information—such as stop buttons, vehicle temperature, and battery status for electric vehicles—and infrastructure data, such as the status of elevators, escalators, park-and-ride facilities, city bikes, e-scooters, and shared vehicles.

Driver support that keeps the route on track

Hogia LinjeGuiden is a web-based tool that guides drivers correctly regardless of traffic conditions or rerouting. In a single view, drivers can access stop sequences and a map with navigation. With real-time updates of the bus’s position and rapid action from traffic controllers, drivers operate their routes under the right conditions. Cancelled stops, diversions, and connections are made clear and easy to follow. The journey runs according to schedule, and the driver has up-to-date and accurate information both for driving and for communicating with passengers. Everyone shares the same view of the traffic—the driver, the passenger, and traffic management.

Traffic management

Advanced traffic control with real-time monitoring

Real-time monitoring and control

Hogia Traffic Management gives you full control over your public transportation system through an intuitive graphical interface. The system enables real-time monitoring of delayed trips, at-risk turnaround times, and unreported services, while also allowing you to influence operations directly through various traffic control actions. With vehicle positioning updated every second, automatic alerts, and onboard passenger counts, traffic controllers receive the right information to understand, manage, and act at the right time. The system is adaptable for different roles—from traffic controllers and passenger information officers to customer service and management.

Personal workspace and powerful communication

Each user can create a personalized view through different apps that communicate with each other. A single click in one application instantly updates other apps such as delay views, trip details, and maps. The map serves as a central workspace where all vehicles are displayed with up-to-date information on delays, lines, and operations. Through integrated radio communication via the TETRA network—where Hogia is an approved service provider for the Rakel network by the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB)—voice communication between traffic control and drivers is ensured with superior coverage and group management.

Efficient deviation management

When disruptions occur, traffic controllers can quickly respond using a range of operational measures. The system automatically distributes updated passenger information through connected channels such as displays, websites, journey planners, and other systems subscribing to real-time data. This ensures that both passengers and stakeholders receive harmonized and up-to-date information, minimizing service disruptions and improving the overall travel experience.

Passenger information management

Passenger information management

Hogia's passenger information management solution makes it easy to create and publish clear, relevant, and up-to-date information – both during major service disruptions and minor deviations.

With targeted disruption information, you reach the right passengers at the right time. You can easily send messages to specific stops, stop points, journeys, or lines – ensuring information reaches passengers before, during, and after their journey.

Seamless integration

When disruptions occur, fast and clear communication is essential to avoid confusion. Hogia's solution is therefore fully integrated with the traffic management system.

Actions taken by traffic controllers can be immediately supplemented with relevant passenger information, giving passengers access to clear updates on the cause of disruption, alternative routes, and other important details – in real time.

Templates, template management and automation

With support for template management and predefined list of reasons, you minimise the risk of errors and ensure consistent, professional communication with passengers.

You can also control character limits and adapt the same message for multiple channels, such as apps, digital signs and websites.

As customers' need for operational efficiency grows, automation is becoming increasingly important. Hogia's solution enables deviation messages to be automatically generated using templates when certain deviations occur – freeing up time for traffic information staff to focus on more complex situations.

Competent and reliable solutions

A robust and scalable system is essential for public transportation that must operate around the clock. We offer platform-neutral solutions that are easy to integrate, manage, and build upon—whether in the cloud or installed locally.

  • Integration platform with advanced forecasting engine
  • Hardware-neutral real-time system
  • Traffic and passenger management
  • Vehicle and driver-centric services
  • Monitoring and analysis
The traffic management system consolidates all available data from various sources into a single view. This makes it easier to understand what is happening and to make the right decisions when you can see the bigger picture and the consequences of different actions.

Innovation projects and open interfaces

Hogia works to shape and contribute to increased standardization within the public transport sector.
For many years, Hogia has been actively involved in various working groups linked to the European standardization efforts around Transmodel, SIRI, and NeTEx.

Transmodel

Transmodel

Transmodel is a model for defining standards that enable the sharing and provision of accurate and interoperable public transport information across organizational and system boundaries. In the same way that we have agreed on traffic sign symbols that are identical or similar in many countries, Transmodel provides a foundation for a common language for public transport.

ITxPT

ITxPT – open IT architecture and interoperability

Hogia is one of nine founding members of the non-profit organization ITxPT and is currently a Strategic Member. The organization works to promote an open architecture, data accessibility, and interoperability between IT systems.

ITxPT members jointly develop the IT architecture for public transport and other mobility services based on standards and best practices.
